Vice President Marketing, Communication, and Public Relations
A long time and active member of the Treasure Valley, Carolyn Holly currently serves as Vice President of Marketing, Communications, and Public Relations for Saint Alphonsus Health System.  Within the new role, Carolyn will serve as a key liaison to the communities that Saint Alphonsus serves.  She will be an instrumental part of developing meaningful relationships with local resources and organizations, evolving a strategy for public collaboration, and advancing Saint Alphonsus' mission to be a transformative healing presence within the community. Carolyn has served for more than 30 years at KTVB Channel 7 television, where she became one of Idaho's most experienced and best known television personalities.  Carolyn has acted as an important representative and volunteer for many Treasure Valley organizations including Boise Public Schools, Idaho Youth Sports Commission, the Saint Alphonsus Foundation, and the Governor's Task Force on Adolescent Pregnancy.

Founder of Heart of Compassion Group
Patrick Wangoi was 15 when war in the Democratic Republic of Congo drove him from his home and to a refuge in Tanzania. He lived there for five years until the refugee resettlement agency International Rescue Committee helped him move to Boise. Wangoi is now a senior in Boise State University’s social work program, and has created a support group for refugees, Heart of Compassion Group, that assists families with transportation, language development, medical record-keeping and other needs. Patrick is the author of "17 Top Tips to Run a Successful Business" which can be found on Amazon.

Faisal Shah was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago, the middle child of three. As a child he lived in Caracas, Venezuela and later in San Juan, Puerto Rico. After high school, Faisal studied business administration at the University of Colorado Boulder - Leeds School of Business and later law at the University of San Francisco. After graduating from law school, Faisal moved to Los Angeles and became a partner at one of the top law firms in the nation - Pillsbury Madison & Sutro (now known as Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman). In 1997, Faisal moved to Boise, Idaho and applied his legal and business expertise to co-founding technology and services companies that protect the online intellectual property assets of corporations and their customers. In 1999, he co-founded MarkMonitor, Inc, a company specializing in enterprise brand protection serving the Fortune 500. In September 2012, Thomson Reuters acquired MarkMonitor in one of the largest technology company acquisitions in Idaho. He also co-founded FTF Technologies Inc. in Boise, Idaho (now known as First-to-File), an electronic document management company providing comprehensive patent management solutions to companies and law firms worldwide. In February 2013, CPA Global (a global IP management and technology company) acquired First-to-File. Faisal recently co-founded AppDetex, a Boise-based company that protects Global 2000 companies from online and mobile threats. The companies Faisal has co-founded continue to thrive and contribute to Idaho’s growing technology ecosystem. Faisal is committed to helping others succeed in Idaho and meets regularly with entrepreneurs. In that vein, he is a co-founder of Trailhead Boise, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping Boiseans start and scale businesses and also a co-founder of Nebula Shift, a Boise-based technology incubator.  Faisal continues to invest in numerous Idaho startups while mentoring young entrepreneurs.

Student at One Stone
Harry Northrop is a tenth grader at One Stone. Harry has spent the majority of his life traveling and experiencing the world. During his time at One Stone, through his work, and in his everyday life, Harry has come to appreciate the differences in the world through empathy. With One Stone, Harry has spent his time the last five weeks empathizing with refugees and consulting with different agencies in Boise to create a refugee bicycle repair booklet. Harry is excited to be on the Hult Prize @ Boise State judging panel and hear solutions students have created.

I graduated from Baghdad Medical School in 2003. Between 2003 and 2007, I worked as a doctor at Ramadi Hospital and with the Swiss Agency for Development and Corporation (SDC), helping mentally and physically challenged patients. I also worked as a project manager with the Coalition Force in Iraq. I was displaced to Jordan as an asylum seeker where I worked both as a doctor at the Italian Hospital and as a consultant for an insurance company. I came to the United States as a refugee in 2008, I found a job in a biotech company in the Bay Area in California and got certified in Tissue Technology and I became a member in the American Association for Tissue Banks before I joined the United States Army as a combat medic. After I finished my service, I engaged heavily with Global Talent Idaho, a new workforce development initiative supported by Upwardly Global, working with refugees, resettlement organizations, and businesses to help and advise professional refugees. I worked as Infection prevention Specialist and currently studying for my medical license in Idaho and preparing to apply for a graduate degree.

Haley Hennessey competed in the Hult Prize at the regional level in 2015 and 2016 in London and Shanghai. She believes both years tackling the complex Hult Prize topics stretched her thinking and gave her a different outlook on the power of business. Since graduating with her MBA in the spring, Haley has enjoyed working for a local company, Tates Rents, as their Marketing Manager. Outside of her day job, she is passionate about education and her position on The Arc of Idaho’s board. On the weekends you will find her exploring Idaho with her husband and mini Australian shepherd.
