Donna Phillips is a Senior Economic Development Manager for Duke Energy and responsible for new and expanding industrial and commercial business recruitment in the eastern portion of Duke Energy's Carolina’s service territory. Since 1904, Duke Energy’s Economic Development team has helped build the Carolinas’ economy with the textile industry, furniture industry and others. Phillips joined Duke Energy in September 2015 after gaining economic development experience at the North Carolina Department of Commerce/Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina along with experience in Wayne and Duplin County Economic Development offices. She is a graduate of Chowan University with an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration while continuing to receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Marketing and a Master’s in Business Administration from East Carolina University. She is also a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Economic Development Institute. She sits on the boards of East Carolina University Board of Visitors, B.S. Industrial Technology Advisory Board-Vice Chair and B.S. Industrial Engineering Technology Program Advisory Committee. She has also been a long standing board member of the Small Business Technology Development Center and the Chowan University Board of Visitors. Duke Energy, the largest electric power holding company in the United States, supplies and delivers electricity to approximately 7.3 million electric retail customers located in six states in the Southeast and Midwest. The company also distributes natural gas to approximately 500,000 customers in Ohio and Kentucky. Greenville Utilities Comission, Manager of Advanced Analytics
Jonathan Britt is responsible for the management of the Greenville Utilities analytics office personnel and functions supporting decision-making processes regarding budgeting, capital expenditures and rate setting for the electric, water, sewer and gas enterprise funds. Core initiatives include advocating for best practices and developing methodologies for aligning capital projects to meet the business needs of the organization. Past consulting experience includes oil & gas industry client support in the areas of operations and infrastructure integrity, engineering management, as well as business strategy and planning. Primary focus included project management for infrastructure expansions, operational risk assessments and mitigation strategies, O&M reviews, regulatory support, capital & operating cost analyses, technology and design assessments, change management and organizational readiness, mergers & acquisitions transactions and due diligence support. Past utility experience includes engineering and operations sections management, project management, engineering design, pipeline capacity assessments, process improvements around mobile technologies, and regulatory compliance. Jonathan graduated from North Carolina State University in 2002 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Biological Engineering and is a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina. He has also served on the Board of Directors for the American Public Gas Association (APGA) - Research Foundation, Gas Technology Institute - Utilization Technology Development (UTD), and Carolinas Public Gas Association (CPGA).
