Dr.
Dr Clarence N.W. Tan is the former Ambassador for Singularity University, a think tank based in NASA Ames Research Park in Silicon Valley. He is also the founder of Bond Wireless, an Australian-based award-winning wireless software applications and services company. He received the Queensland government’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence Fellowship for 2010. He is a founding member of the Gold Coast Angel Investors Group, which has funded a number of innovative companies. Dr. Tan obtained his Ph.D. from Bond University and his Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (Computers) from the University of Southern California, where he went on to simultaneously complete a Master of Business Administration (Finance), and a Master of Science in Industrial and Systems Engineering. Dr. Tan is a Fellow of the Australian Computer Society (FACS) and a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (F Fin). He has a number of academic publications including a book, book chapters and peer-reviewed papers in the area of soft computing and mobile applications. In addition, Dr Tan holds a number of patents in mobility technology globally. He has been an invited keynote speaker in a number of events including the Awesomenest Fest in Bali, the Global Investment Panel for Singularity University at NASA Ames Research Park and the World Computer Congress in Brisbane, TedX Malaysia and TedX Youth

Dr.
Dr. Ramana Panda was a General Practitioner for 19 years and entrepreneur with interest in Telehealth and Skin cancer. He has worked in several rural healthcare locations and found use of telehealth as a need to provide specialist services to these communities. His Vision of developing an integrated System for Telehealth consultations for past 10 years lead to Telehealth Networks. Mr Panda was a founding member and current Chairman of Health Academy Australia, an online teaching institute with 850 students all around the world. He is currently involved as a director and Board member in several organisations.

Ms.
Margie Baldock is an entrepreneur, property developer and author. Margie completed 72 townhouses in South East Queensland last year with a value of in excess of $33 million. She also completed an Executive program at Silicon Valley’s Singularity University. This year Margie founded a medicinal cannabis company that seeks to commercialise the US Government’s famous 507 Patent “Cannabinoids as antioxidants and neuroprotectants’ by undertaking clinical trials to create TGA/FDA approved cannabis based medicines. As part of this vision Margie is keen to create cannabis clinics that map individual DNA and gene regulation to cannabis and other plant-based herbal healing remedies. Her vision is to distribute dis-ease through a focus on proactive wellness and enabling preventative lifestyle choices. Previously Margie has built a range of companies including a global software company based upon the ideas of Warren Buffett. She has also been a long time financial commentator as well as an amazon best-selling author. Earlier in her career she worked in TV news and banking.

Tony Le Messurier is Managing Director of Renewable Energy Solutions Australia. (RESA), Previously he has been engaged in a range of successful businesses and works closely with AusIndustry Accelerating Commercialisation program, Trade Investment Queensland and Austrade in growing the RESA businesses overseas. Tony has been in the new technology renewable energy space for 12 years and was founding Chairman and co-investment lead of Atlantis Energy Ltd which has moved on to become the world’s largest tidal energy company with successful installations. More recently, RESA has developed a range of patented products, the Eco Whisper Turbine and VoltLogic power management system which is being manufactured and further developed in India. The company also has a Solar business, The Solarman, that installs solar and battery on and off grid in India, UK and Australia. Currently RESA is developing solar engineering education, social energy and recycling based employment in India along with its normal run of business.

Associate Professor Qin Li is at Griffith University, Department of Engineering. Her area of speciality is Nanotechnology and Clean Energy Solutions, Nanomaterials and Environmental Engineering, Aquifer Storage and Recharge; Water Resource Management.
