"As the campus director of HultPrize@LIU, we had a rough start to get the Hult enormous idea delivered all across campuses. We worked for the past months non-stop to reach to the day - 16th of January where the on-campus Hult Prize@LIU competition took place. More than 100 students participated and engaged coming from all around Lebanon - Beirut, Tripoli, Bekaa and Saida campuses, to form more than 16 teams with amazing and creative ideas tackling this year’s Hult Prize challenge. We ended up with our top three outstanding teams, stay tuned to know more about our progress in the competition."

Hasmig Dantziguian Khoury is the current Head of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) at Bank Audi. She was hired in April 2010 to initiate the unit with the intention of spreading the established Bank Audi values to the community in addition to instigating and implementing socially responsible projects wherein employees are encouraged to participate and enhance their ethical responsibility to all stakeholders and their environment. Hasmig is a speaker at various regional conferences/workshops on sustainability and has won recognition from both the public and the private sector for initiatives achieved by Bank Audi’s CSR team. She is knowledgeable in various benchmarks in the industry such as the ISO 26000 and the UN Global Compact and an accredited reported of the GRI. She comes from a varied professional background of managing different types of companies in diverse fields. She has acquired experience in service to society through decades of volunteer work to diverse international and local associations and NGOs. Initially she is a graduate of the McGill University in Public Relations. She is the proud mother of Andrew (17), Peter (15) and Angela (12).

Dr. Hasan Youness is specialized in international business management, educational administration, and educational leadership. Having acquired his degrees from Notre Dame University, KEDGE Business School and Saint Louis University respectively, he went on to pursue an executive CSR program at Harvard Business School Executive Education. Hasan started teaching at the university level at the age of 23 and has been teaching at five universities since then. In addition, he is also a news anchor, TV presenter, researcher, author, mentor, and trainer on a wide array of management, entrepreneurship, social entrepreneurship, CSR, and communication topics in Lebanon and abroad. In addition, he has been a Tedx speaker and guest on top TV channels in the Arab world. Despite having worked with leading companies, Hasan did not limit himself to the business sector. Rather, he has chosen to work with UNIDO and UNRWA, in addition to other NGOs. Over time, he participated in multiple national and international conferences, workshops, and competitions, and was awarded several prestigious awards for representing Lebanon on several occasions. Hasan is also the cofounder and managing partner of Insights’ for Consultancy S.A.R.L and EON Training and Development center S.A.R.L. Hasan was newly appointed as UNGC ambassador in Lebanon and he is the author of #TrendsOfBusiness.

Dr. Guita Hourani is the Director of the Lebanese Emigration Research Center, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Law and Political Science and Director of the International Campaign of “Lebanon Land of Dialogue among Civilizations and Cultures” at Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), Lebanon. She has a Ph.D. from the Graduate School of Global Studies, Tokyo University of Foreign Studies (TUFS), Tokyo, Japan. She is presently Country of Origin Information Expert on Lebanon for the Fahamu Refugee Programme, England; Joint Researcher with the Research Institute for Languages and Cultures of Asia and Africa at TUFS; and Editorial Board Member Mashreq & Mahjar Journal of Middle Eastern Migration Studies, North Carolina State University, USA. Her recent publications include: “Situation Report- Bilateral Relations, Security and Migration: Lebanese Expatriates in the Gulf States”, the Lebanese Emigration Research Center, Notre Dame University, Lebanon, 2016; ‘In Line with the Divine’: the Struggle for Gender Equality in Lebanon, a memorial volume dedicated to the late Professor Rita Sabat (1974-2013), edited by Dr. Rita Stephan, Dr. Guita Hourani, and Dr. Cornelia Horn (Editors), Abelian Publishing, 2015; “The Kurds of Lebanon: Socioeconomic Mobility and Political Participation via Naturalization” translated from English into Persian by Ali Mohammadian, Iran, 2015.

Dr. Khouloud Al Khatib is a researcher, university instructor, and lawyer. She is a PhD holder in International Law with emphasis on human rights.She holds two master degrees in Private Law and Public Law, with a BA in Law. In addition, she holds a diploma degree in Diplomatic Relations from Cairo Center for Training and Arbitration and the Arab League of Nations. Dr. Khouloud fulfilled a research study in Comparative religion studies with ADYAN Foundation. She is a lawyer registered in the Association of Bar, Beirut, and a member in the Commission of Basic Freedoms and Human rights at the Association2014-2015. Dr. Khatib is a university associate professor at the Lebanese University and the Lebanese International University; she is in charge of human rights education at the university, and teaches courses related to public international law and international humanitarian laws. Khouloud AlKhatib is the executive director for the human rights center at the Lebanese International University, and president and co-founder for LOUDER (The Lebanese Organization for Unity and Defending Equal Rights) that focuses on protecting and defending human rights to promote the Rule of Law. She is a human rights defender, specialized consultant for human rights education, a trainer, and developer for training curriculum on human rights (promotion, defense and mechanisms). In addition she is a trainer on citizenship, countering extremism strategies, and electoral laws especially the municipal.

Bassam Hussein holds a B. Eng. in Computer Engineering, an MBA in Management and a PhD in Engineering Management. Dr. Hussein has worked for several international telecommunication corporations and educational institutions. He led multi-million dollar software development projects and rolled-out many products that are still widely in use by hundreds of millions of users across the globe. Dr. Hussein supervised many academic projects, participated in many conferences, symposiums and workshops and taught courses in the fields of software engineering, systems engineering, operating systems, engineering ethics, engineering project management, human factors engineering and organizational behavior. He is currently the Chair of the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Lebanese International University (LIU).

Dr Anwar Kawtharani has been serving as an educational administrator, university lecturer and Secondary teacher with 30 years of experience in school and university. He graduated from Cambridge University, UK with an EdD in Leadership and Management in 2010. He is currently serving as the Dean of School of Education at the Lebanese International University across 9 campuses in Lebanon and Mauritania since 2011 as well as serving as the Director for professional development at LIU. In addition, he serves as the Head of English Department at AMJAD High School since 2000 and the Chair of the English Department at AMAL associations. He has coauthored English Language books from grades one to 3 rd year secondary inclusive. He has travelled across the world (U.S.A, UK, MENA and NENA region and Japan) delivering seminars on continuous professional development. He has been recognized for his tenure-track in achieving excellence in teaching, researching and overseeing Masters and PhDs in the field of Education Management and English Language. He serves on the official assessment and examination committee at the Lebanese Ministry of Education for English Language 3rd year secondary and chief trainer at CERD. He also engages in many extra activities and events, not only at school and university level but also at community levels especially migrant education. He serves as an International School Award (ISA) Ambassador for the British council in Lebanon. In addition he is also a regular football analyst on local and regional tv channels as well.

A PhD holder in Computer Sciences from the University of Sunderland, United Kingdom, in the area of Information Retrieval and Search Engines. Worked as Chairman of Computer Science for the past 10 years and have extensive teaching experience in Computer Science courses at all different levels. Worked for Middle East Airlines as Head of planning and control department and provided technical support for Mainframe and PCs operating systems for several years and in the capacity of System Analyst and Programmer for Société de Service d’Informatique in Lebanon and for Somapro in Canada on a Robotic project and also in producing Printer’ drivers.
