"What would you do with a Million Dollars? The Hult Prize is offering you the opportunity to win a Million Dollars by creating a social enterprise that will restore the dignity of 10 Million refugees by 2022! Hult Prize@ Makerere University makes it easier for you to win this year's Hult Prize Challenge by qualifying directly to one of the five Regional Semi-Finals in Boston, San Francisco, London, Dubai and Shanghai. The Winning Teams from each of the Regional Semi-Finals will get to attend a two-month Accelerator in Boston, and to pitch for 1 Million US Dollars at the Clinton Global Initiative Annual Meeting in September 2017! This is your chance to fly Makerere's flag high, and to bring the Hult Prize home! The competition will be held on Friday 16th December 2016. All teams will be required to make a 6 Minute PowerPoint presentation, which will be followed by a 4 Minute Q&A with the Judges."

Additional Info: The Innovators Night is an event that involves a pitching competition with innovators and start-ups before a Panel of investors,mentors, thinkers, creators and doers. Organised by the Innovation Village Kampala, the Innovators Night seeks to have various businesses compete for a number of prizes, opportunities for investment and other prizes to be awarded by the Uganda Registration Services Bureau (URSB). On Thursday 8th December 2016, there will be a pitch training with all participating teams from 10:00 am at the Innovation Village, where companies will be trained on how to deliver a successful pitch to potential investors. On Friday 9th December 2016, there will be an online social media Q & A session with the Uganda Registration Services Bureau from 10:30-11:30 am, which will be followed by a workshop from 2:00-4:00 pm at the Innovation Village at which entrepreneurs will get to discuss aspects of registration, patents and copyrights with officials from the Uganda Registration Services Bureau. The Innovators Night will then run from 5:00-9:00 pm, with entrepreneurs pitching before a Panel of judges to select the Best Teams.

Additional Info: Ms. Nataliey Bitature, Co-Founder and Head of Operations at Musana Carts, which was one of the 2016 Hult Prize Global Finalists, Mr. Pascal Ojijo, Founder and CEO of GoBigHub, a for profit social enterprise with a 10 year target of being in 1,000 African cities and connecting local entrepreneurs to local investors, and Mr. David Nyaribi, former Campus Director, 2016 Hult Prize Regional Semi-Finalist and Chief Operations Officer at GoBigHub will be the speakers at this Session. Ms. Bitature will share with you Musana Carts' Hult Prize journey and how they were able to make it to the 2016 Global Finals, and Messrs. Ojijo and Nyaribi will provide mentorship and training on pitching and building a successful social enterprise.

Nataliey is the Head of Operations at Musana Carts, a 2016 Hult Prize Global Finalist. She has previously founded 2 successful service businesses in Kampala, Tateru Properties & Handymen Uganda. Nataliey has extensive field and boardroom experience across East Africa after working with The Simba Group for several years, overseeing Real Estate Management, Telecommunications and Renewable Energy projects. She has an Undergraduate Dual Honours Degree in Business Management and Education from Keele University in the United Kingdom and a Master's Degree in Social Entrepreneurship from the Hult International Business School in San Francisco.
