Share resources, work smartly and efficiently, eliminate waste and help one another. These are the values that drive Rudayna on a personal and professional level. She is now taking a side step from her career in urban planning to pour her energy into the creation of Thaki. Rudayna’s involvement in promoting educational opportunities goes back many years: She has been a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Educational Counselor since graduating from MIT and was the driving force behind the establishment of 2 endowed scholarship funds at both MIT and the American University of Beirut (AUB).

Lorraine is Director of Social Enterprise for Pale Blue Dot Life, which focuses on the creation of livelihoods for vulnerable populations. She is also currently working on a research project with the Emirates Diplomats Academy, an independent federal entity under the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, examining the current debates around livelihoods in Jordan and Turkey. She has also conducted research for the Global Business Coalition for education, a UN mandated charity, on the engagement of the private sector in education for Syrian kids in Jordan, Lebanon and Turkey.
