Mathu Jeyaloganathan is a Portfolio Manager with World Vision Canada, where she is working on developing World Vision’s first ever impact investment fund in Latin America, Africa and Asia.Prior to joining World Vision, Mathu was a Business Analyst with Purpose Capital, Canada’s first impact investment advisory firm. Mathu has worked with corporate, community, and private foundations as well as family offices in developing and refining their impact investment strategies. She also has experience working in the banking sector with one of Canada’s big five banks. Mathu has previously volunteered her time as the loan officer for the Youth Social Capital Innovation Fund where she was responsible for executing on the first revenue based impact investment in Canada.. Mathu holds a BA (Honours) in Business Administration from the Richard Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario.

MaRS Centre for Impact Investing
Marie works on the MaRS Centre for Impact Investing’s Venture Service activities with double bottom line ventures and impact investors. She works on the delivery and content creation for SVX venture bootcamp programs (previously Impact8). Marie also manages mentorship initiatives, relationships with venture support partners, new service initiatives, as well as a portfolio of venture clients. Marie has a background supporting entrepreneurs and impact management with UNRWA in Palestine and MEDA in Tanzania. She most recently worked at The MasterCard Foundation where she worked on the Youth Livelihoods portfolio, research and new initiative development. Marie holds an honours degree in resource economics from the University of British Columbia.

LEAP: The Centre for Social Impact
Ava-Dayna holds a Master of Global Affairs from the Munk School of Global Affairs at the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science from McMaster University. She has worked across the private, public and non-profit sectors to understand how cross-sector collaboration can lead to the application of market-based principles to address pressing social issues through social innovation. While at the Canada Pension Plan Investment Board, she helped establish Focusing Capital on the Long Term—an initiative led by CPP Investment Board and McKinsey & Company dedicated to enhancing long-term value creation and sustainability in the private sector. Ava-Dayna has an extensive background in research on various issues related to international development and global governance. During her time at the World Bank, she developed policies on financial inclusion, inclusive innovation, and small medium enterprise development. At the International Centre for Tax and Development, she co-created a database containing information on tax regimes in low-income countries which is now widely used by the World Bank, IMF and OECD. She was also chair of the G20 Research Group at the University of Toronto—the world’s leading independent source of information and analysis on the G20. She currently works in the social innovation sector in Toronto, Canada.
