Julian Ingabire Kayibanda is a social entrepreneur with a passion for women’s economic empowerment and child rights. She has over 10 years of experience in various fields of Women Empowerment, Community Development and Early Childhood Development. Currently Julian is the Country Director for ‘International Child Resource Institute-Rwanda’; a nonprofit organization committed to ensuring access to high quality, stimulating, developmentally appropriate early childhood care and education. She is also founder of ‘The Playground’ a social enterprise helping build a community of parents, educators, caregivers, leaders-United by a belief in the importance of creative free play to unleash children’s potential. ‘The Playground’ leverages local materials to build playgrounds/spaces and play materials for children. Julian, an Acumen, Global Social Benefit Institute (GSBI) and Echoing Green Fellow hopes to continue supporting anyone, anywhere to build a stimulating space for play leveraging local materials, tools, and skills. She is married with 2 awesome children.

Dr. Rama B. Rao is a professor of management with more than 3 and half decades of teaching and research experience both in Rwanda and India. To his credit published two books and more than 25 papers in the field of management. He served the higher education in Rwanda in different capacities as head of management department, dean of faculty and director of postgraduate studies. He played key role in curriculum development in business studies area and in introducing UG and PG programmes catering to the needs of Rwanda. Currently he is heading the School of Tourism and Hospitality Management in the College of Business and Economics, University of Rwanda. He teaches in masters’ programmes in business area and supervises masters and PhD students. He undertook major researches in Rwanda besides providing consultancy to industry and training executives. Prof. Rama’s interest areas of teaching and research include transport, tourism, business planning, strategy, entrepreneurship and organization development.

Over the last 3 years he has been an active trainer in the Ready4Finance program by BiD Network. Richard is a dynamic International Certified Trainer by International Finance Corporation (IFC) / World Bank Group with extensive experience in international development and project management. He worked with different Banks in Human Resource and Credit Departments. Richard holds a Master’s Degree (MBA) in Project Management from Creydon University, Australia in partnership with Academie des Sciences Africaines (ASCAF) Bujumbura, Burundi. After he graduated from Kigali Institute of Science, Technology and Management (KIST) with a Bachelor’s Degree (BBA) in Human Resources Management, Richard has dedicated his career to the creation of innovative approaches to train youth in strategic planning, business plan writing, business development, financial analysis and loan management with much focus on coaching, advocacy, mentoring and evaluation of Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs), Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs). Richard has also enjoyed over 9 years in the consultation and training with international and local consulting firms like World Bank, Afflatoon (a German consulting firm), Kenya Institute of Management (KIM), Private Sector Federation, Hanga Umurimo Project phase 1 and 2 and South African consulting firm (JPAC).

Xavier has been a Branch Manager in microfinance at CAF ISONGA Ltd, teaching entrepreneurship at secondary schools in Kamonyi District, and private consulting and advisory services. Xavier has a Bachelor's degree in economics from the National University of Rwanda, and is currently writing a Master’s thesis on the Determinants of Investment in Rwanda.

An agriculture economist, Olive supports Inkomoko’s agriculture portfolio and also recruits new clients to Inkomoko. With a MS in Agricultural and Applied Economics from the University of Nairobi, Olive is a member of the African Association of Agricultural Economics. Previously, Olive worked with Syngenta Foundation for Sustainable Agriculture, and has conducted research for the International Development Research Center, and National University of Rwanda. She is among the founders of the Rwanda Organization for Agribusiness Promotion.

Emmanuel is a Community Development Specialist with over 10 years experience in various developmental arenas. Before he joined DOT Rwanda, Emmanuel worked as a Program Design, Monitoring & Evaluation Specialist at World Vision Rwanda where he provided technical support and guidance on various projects, as well as program planning, implementation and reporting. Emmanuel also has extensive skills in knowledge Management that he acquired when he worked as the Knowledge Management Specialist at World Vision Rwanda, promoting knowledge sharing for organizational learning, growth and change. During his tenure at World Vision, Emmanuel also served as the Orphan and Vulnerable Children (OVC) Specialist where he facilitated the scaling up of the benefits of a community-based psychosocial support mentorship program across all World Vision satellite offices named ADPs. Emmanuel holds a bachelors degree in Educational Psychology from the National University of Rwanda, Butare branch and is currently pursuing a masters program in Global Community Development from South Adventist University. Emmanuel is a certified TOT in Project Management for Development Professionals (PMD Pro1) and in Grant acquisition and Management (Proposal Pro). Emmanuel is currently working as Monitoring and Evaluation Manager at DOT Rwanda. His passion is to facilitate people learn from what they do and then apply what they have learnt for growth and change.

Jeannette as an Assistant Lecturer has a strong background in preparing and managing the university/college level business related courses such as marketing management, human resource management, corporate governance and business ethics etc.; from preparation to delivery and this has largely involved extensive reading and practical applications working with colleagues and especially with students for more than 8 years at the University of Rwanda. As a duty to supporting students and especially in her MBA studies working with and learning from the Small and Mid-size enterprises supported by the Rwanda Private Sector federation, she worked a lot on marketing strategies and business plan management. Her work as a tutorial assistant and later as a Master candidate for business administration equipped her with theories and some practice on Monitoring, evaluation and operational research, strong Human resource management. she also has experience in training for a wide range of audiences and organising positive change aiming events. This work on different levels has given her good communication skills when faced with a diverse mixture of people, the ability to work in difficult environments or situations and the ability to listen to peoples’ needs.

Noela hold a bachelor degree of science in mechanical engineering from the University of Rwanda - College of Science and Technology (former KIST). Pursuing her passion for community empowerment, Noela joined Digital Opportunity Trust Rwanda (DOT Rwanda) in 2012 as a training facilitator for youth economic programs. In That role she had the opportunity to work closely with youth in her community, develop herself and explore her potential by supporting young entrepreneurs to harness their talent, skills, passion and the limited assets available to build small income generating projects. In her daily facilitation, she focuses on encouraging participants to believe in their capacity and always be ready to seize the presented opportunities. As a young entrepreneur, she has a personal interest in youth's challenges in starting small& medium businesses. She joined the Cherie Blair mentorship program for women in business to gain important skill to support her journey as a young entrepreneur. With the aim of giving back to the community, she volunteers with Bright Future Cornerstone (BFC) as a mentor and coach for youth. In that line, as a YALI Regional Leadership Center EA alumni, she works on inspiring youth to be transformational leader and take the first lead in contributing to solve the community challenges. In September 2013 she become a member of the MasterCard Foundation Youth Think Tank (YTT) group where through research in her community, she explored youth engagement, benefits and barriers to the available activities in which youth are involved. Through her involvement with the YTT, she developed a kin interest in agribusiness' potential for youth's economic development & personal growth in her community. Within that same period, she become an Enterprise Program Support Officer for DOT Rwanda, where one among her roles is to support youth to build and implement small business & social enterprises models for their economic self-reliance.
