We challenge you to find innovative start-up ideas for our "Food for Good" challenge (see below for details). Work as a team to solve the challenge and present your pitch at our OnCampus Pitch Event on January 9th, 2021. It's all about good start-up ideas! A finished business plan is not necessary at this point. The first place at the University of Cologne wins a purpose-related travel allowance for the regional finals of 1,000 euros! Additional Info: At our OnCampus Pitch, all participating teams present their business ideas to an independent jury made up of business representatives and social impact leaders. The winning team receives a guaranteed place in the regional finals and a purpose-related travel allowance of 1,000 euros! The pitches should not be longer than 6 minutes – the teams will receive further details after registering on our website. Due to Corona, the event will be held online on Zoom.

Felix Finkbeiner
Founder and CEO at Plant-for-the-Planet Foundation
At the age of 9, Felix Finkbeiner founded the Plant-For-the-Planet Initiative to fight climate change. To date, the initiative has planted 13.4 billion trees, trained 88,000 climate justice ambassadors worldwide and sells the "Good Chocolate" that has planted 4.5 million trees. Felix knows how to create impact.

Jan Grabow founded the start-up Nomoo, which produces vegan ice cream. Nomoo is incredibly tasty and healthier than regular ice cream. Sustainability is very important at Nomoo, all ingredients are organic and the packaging is free of plastic.

Mirjam Henkel worked for a high-tech start-up and drove the further development of technology, which has received several awards. Now she helps young founders to realize their entrepreneurial goals at the FH Aachen's start-up center.

Prof. Dr. Kai Thürbach
Professor of Management and Entrepreneurship at TH Köln
Prof. Dr. Kai Thürbach teaches and researches on the topics of entrepreneurship and business management at the Technical University of Cologne, bringing with him the theoretical background on business start-ups. In addition, he advises start-ups in the start-up center of the TH.

CEO and Founder of IFPE - Research Institute for Plant-Based Nutrition
Dr. Markus Keller is one of the leading experts in the field of plant-based nutrition. He had been appointed the world's first professor of Vegan Nutrition. Since more than 25 years he has been working as a researcher, scientific author and lecturer. In 2020 he co-founded the IFPE - Research Institute for Plant-Based Nutrition.

Registrations are now open! Teams must be 3-4 people in size and consist of students from the University of Cologne - exchange students and doctoral students can also take part! A maximum of one person from the team can also be a student from another university.
